Step 01 Tutorial · Print Preparation

How to Prepare Your Image for Fine Art Printing

Before submitting your file, watch this walkthrough on getting your photograph print-ready so what you see on screen translates faithfully onto archival paper.

  • ✓ Exposure & Black Point: Avoid overly dark shadows that can block up on matte or baryta papers.
  • ✓ Soft-Proofing & Color Space: Export in 16-bit TIFF or high-quality JPEG (Adobe RGB or sRGB).
  • ✓ Resolution & Sharpening: Match your crop to your target print size (A4–A2) and apply output sharpening.
